I have a BA in English from Illinois State University. During my time there, I received three honors distinctions. My major was Psychology and I had three minors that included Cognitive Science, French, and TESOL. I have worked in the Peace Corps and then worked in Berlin for two years as an English teacher. While in Berlin, I took many opportunities to focus on projects concerning girls' education and women's empowerment. I also helped to coordinate a peer education health project.While I really do enjoy many different subjects, I mostly enjoy helping my tutoring students with their English and French grammar and writing. I can also help to make sure that my students are well prepared for their standardized testing, as I understand just how difficult such tests can be for many young students. I am excited to have the chance to help my students prepare for such exams.In my personal time, I do enjoy the circus arts, gymnastics, hiking, reading, science fiction, and cooking.
