I am a teaching assistant in English and general humanities classes at Michigan State University and am in the process of earning a Master's degree in English. I have a passion for teaching and helping to make literature and other humanities subjects feel more accessible and relevant to students who struggle with those fields. I have over 60 hours of training as a crisis counselor with the Listening Ear and I find that these skills carry over very well to listening and responding to student concerns.
