| Experience: | I have a good amount of experience with teaching. As an undergraduate student at the University of Delaware, I tutored fellow students in both economics and writing. I was nominated by the chair of my department to be a writing tutor for a senior research seminar. I also worked as a teaching assistant for a semester.
I graduated magna cum laude from the University of Delaware in May 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology and International Relations and a minor in Spanish. I also took concentration classes in Economics and Latin American history. My GPA at graduation was 3.9. Currently, I am a first year graduate student at Michigan State University studying Forensic Anthropology.
I performed well on both the SATs and GREs, scoring 1490 and 1500 respectively. I feel that I am well qualified to help tutor students to prepare for these standardized tests. I am also particularly qualified to tutor writing, spanish and social sciences in general. I also have a solid understanding of math, especially algebra, and basic biology and chemistry. |
| Hobbies: | I consider myself to be both an academic and an athletic person. While I love to read a good book, I also enjoy outdoor activities, especially rock climbing, kayaking and skiing. For the past three years I have competed in and taught ballroom dance. |
