Mathematics and Education are the defining passions of my life. I have been teaching and tutoring mathematics across various levels for ten years. I studied Mathematics and Mathematics Education at Michigan State University where the College of Education’s secondary education program is ranked #1 in the country. After graduation I decided that I wanted to continue working with students one-on-one. The majority of tutoring is little better than homework help. I decided to use my knowledge of mathematics, pedagogy and curriculum to create a unique service that could be truly useful. Mathematics and teaching has evolved a great deal over the last few years. My instruction combines an advanced knowledge of mathematics with the best ideas in education. I provide tutoring to advanced students at grade levels 5 through 12. I have provided tutoring for subjects ranging from middle school algebra to ACT/SAT math to AP calculus to Multivariable Calculus and Abstract Algebra. I can help with existing classes or work with students on more advanced material. If necessary I can provide all content, problems, notes and materials. I can give advanced students an outlet to challenge and express themselves. I can help students get ahead in their classes and prepare for programs at top universities. I can help students develop strong mathematics skills that will benefit them throughout the course of their lives.
